Our Farmers
The farmer is critical to the success of King Island Beef.
Great beef starts with the finest farmers and genetics. King Island Beef is proudly sourced from the very
best livestock producers on King Island that have a proven track record in delivering the best cattle to
meet the high demands of King Island Beef.
The livestock producers are a critical partner in the King Island Beef
brand. In line with the laws of Tasmania, the use of added hormones
(also known as HGPs) and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) is
strictly prohibited on King Island, so consumers around the world should
feel confident when they enjoy King Island Beef it is as nature intended –
all natural.
But the farmers for King Island Beef go one further – they are JBS
Australia Farm Assured, which means they have successfully passed a
3rd party audit to further ensure a consistent quality of product and the highest standards of animal welfare are maintained
Our farmers have a strong connection to their land and are passionate
about upholding the quality and traditions of King Island Beef. These
partners know that chefs and consumers across Australia and from

I enjoy providing cattle for the King Island Brand that hits the spec. I purchase cattle from breeders that suit my operation and know that they are continually looking at genetics to improve carcase specifications.
